SMILE EMPTY SOUL: New Single Posted Online

August 13, 2006

California trio SMILE EMPTY SOUL has posted its new single, "The Hit", online at its MySpace page. The song, which will impact radio on September 12, comes from the band's long-overdue second album, "Vultures", due on October 24 via Bieler Bros. Records.

"Vultures" will finally follow up SMILE EMPTY SOUL's 2003 self-titled debut, which was certified gold for sales of more than 500,000 copies. The CD was produced by the members of SMILE EMPTY SOUL and James Murray in Santa Cruz, California.

SMILE EMPTY SOUL had initially titled its sophomore effort "Anxiety" and had set a September 2005 release date for it, back when the group was still signed to Atlantic Records, but that CD never materialized for unknown reasons, according to Launch Radio Networks.

"Vultures" track listing:

04. Jesus Is The Manager Of Wal-Mart
05. The Freaks Are Coming
